Original Watercolors
We all know that watercolor is a truly unforgiving media. Once a color is down on paper, it is almost impossible to change it, and whites (clouds) have to be painted around, not on, as they are in other forms of painting. Lee Phillips has perfected the colors of the desert and the detail that borders on photo-realism. For those of us who live in, and love the desert, we can see the time of day and the seasons reflected in these awe-striking paintings.
Crane and Crow Gallery is honored to be working exclusively with Lee's estate to pass these desert images along to you.
